Job Description : Assists Operator in lining up rig well when rigging up and rigging downSets hydraulic jacks, handles pads/boards and assists in attaching the guy wires to the anchorResponsible for all elevated work associated with rigging up/down (i.e. removing horse head from pumping unit)Responsible for all work performed for the rod basket and tubing board (transferring rods and tubing from the vertical racks to the elevator), performs servicing on the wellOperates tubing elevators and rod transfers for standing or running tubing from derrickPerforms preventative maintenance on all equipment above the rig floor and all equipment associated with the drilling fluid systemAssists in walking the rods when laying down rodsIndependently use heavy-duty handheld and long-handled toolsMay be required to work floors or operate the rig when neededPerforms other related duties as assignedSafety: Follows and enforces all safety requirements and regulationsAttends all safety meetings and trainingsRecognizes, corrects, and reports any unsafe acts or conditions and utilizes “stop work” protocols as necessaryWears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated timesCommits to working safely at all timesMinimum Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to successfully complete all duties of a Floorhand and MotorhandPunctual, trustworthy, dependable and reliableDemonstrates strong teamwork skillsStrong customer service skillsKnowledge of oil and gas facility operationsMust have a valid driver’s licenseEducation and Experience: High School diploma or GED preferred1 or 2 years of Derrickhand experience preferredPhysical Requirements: Willing to work a 14 days on, 7 days off, working 12 hour shifts that can include days or nightsRegularly lifts up to 50 poundsAbility to climb steps and laddersFrequently exposed to outdoor weather conditionsAble to stand on your feet for extended periods of timeAble to squat and/or bend over, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawlJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hourSchedule:12 hour shiftDay shiftExperience:Oil & gas: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Preferred)Night Shift (Preferred)Overnight Shift (Preferred)Willingness to travel:25% (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
