ABOUT THE TEAM:
The QA Specialist is responsible for assisting the Manager in the facilitation of a knowledge-centric, learning organization focused on providing best-in-class service to our customers. The QA Specialist will monitor billing quality and liaise with the Research and Training members of the department to better target trainings to improve quality in the invoice processing group. Additionally this person will assist in the formulation of training objectives and policies for the Velocity invoice processing department.
WHAT YOUâLL DO:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Audit department processes for accuracy and timeliness
Assess department weaknesses based on audit results
Review user-level software, training materials and instructions and provide training to internal invoice processing department on updates/enhancements. Create training materials as needed.
Perform audits of Velocity invoice processing and provide recommendations to improve quality
Maintain records on invoice processing quality for each employee involved in the invoice processing process. Ensure that clients can see their portfolio’s quality report on a timely basis.
Work closely with the department Trainer to deliver instruction in quality aspects and in reinforcing the quality practices through training
Assist Velocity invoice processing department employees with product and process questions as needed
Serve as subject matter expert for Invoice Processing department
Report software defects to development
Participate in requirements definition and design review meetings with product development team

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Minimum of 1 year experience in Velocity Invoice Processing department; equivalent experience in billing or related quality specialist role may be considered in lieu of internal Velocity experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills required; must be able to effectively communicate between customers, staff and management
Excellent organizational abilities; strong attention to detail
Above average interactive, planning, and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to develop, evaluate and motivate others
Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet Explorer
Able to stand for extended periods of time during training sessions
Ability to work extended hours when needed
