JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This position involves receipt of inbound calls for the purpose of verification of benefits and answering questions from providers, members, and brokers. The customer service representative will maintain knowledge of insured products. In addition, the customer service representative will also maintain knowledge of complete policy issue and maintenance to include billing and premiums. The customer service representative is a key position in the team that requires communication of accurate, courteous, and clear information to all callers. Highly-developed, organizational and communication skills are a must. Reports to the KSS Team Lead. Key responsibilities include:

Answers a high volume of inbound calls and maintain a rapid response rate according to the agreed/standard metrics.
Logs information on calls received where required and maintains effective relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public, while displaying professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy.
Researches and resolves customer inquiries.
Completes tickets for follow-up with other departments.
Maintains great customer service communications with providers and other departments.
Pursues personal development of skills and knowledge of necessary for the effective performance of the role.
Trends the types of calls received and advises the department or unit of possible issues.
Handles special projects assigned by the manager.
Attends mandatory workshops and biweekly team meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
At least 1 year of customer service/call center experience.
Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English), but not required.
Medical background a plus (medical office or medical facility).
Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as excel, word, etc.
Knowledge of professional customer service practices.
Skill in interpersonal and written communication.
Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
Ability to accurately compile data and perform detailed work.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain regular attendance.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of material and information.
Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work as a member of a team.
