Position : Aircraft Records Fleet Inventory Analyst

The Aircraft Records Fleet Inventory Team is responsible to maintain the integrity of the life of parts/inventory. They are responsible to update tracked part build-up of assemblies; aircraft acquisitions; back-to-birth trace for inventory, inventory correction and problem solving in order to maintain 14 CFR 121.380, 121.1107, 121.1109 and MPM standards for tracked parts.

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.
Responsible to load parts for newly delivered aircraft, working in conjunction with Configuration Control.
Responsible to load and update parts for used/acquired aircraft. Understanding all the requirements within induction guidelines.
Understanding and performing assembly (gears, slides, etc.) build-up/maintenance in all CDCS systems.
Correcting data for assembly parts or other serialized and tracked parts in CDCS systems.
Coordinating tracking level changes working with Mx Programs and Configuration Control.
Contacting vendor for certification/paperwork corrections for assemblies.
Performing back-to-birth trace for retirements/lease returned parts and aircraft.
Updating consigned parts upon request from parts consignment team.
Archiving aircraft with communication from Fleet Transactions.
Monitors part/inventory gaps on aircraft.
Correction of aircraft usage due to missing flights.
Complex part research in support of other Records Teams.
Maintains inventory/parts for flight simulators.
Performs peer review for hard time/time limited parts.
Identify inefficiencies in processes and procedures and communicates to Projects & Performance Supervisor.
Regulatory Affairs, Internal Investigation, QA audit research as directed by Projects & Performance Supervisor or Manager.
Trains other Analysts/Specialists on work functions and software.
Assists Projects & Performance Team for creating material and assisting in software testing.
Assists with special projects or research as designated by Supervisor or Manager.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/WORK STYLE:

Must understand part hierarchy associated with assemblies, such as parent-child relationships.
Able to interpret and understand technical documents, such as AMM, IPC, Engineering Diagrams, AD, SB.
Ability to travel to other Southwest cities to develop training and meet with other Teams.
Must understand time limited parts and be familiar with maintenance program requirements and the relationship between the two.
Must comprehend the distinctive qualities of FCBS parts in alignment of the Southwest MPM.
Working knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems, aircraft maintenance, and technical documentation.
Must have experience working with Southwest Airlines digital imaging software and associated technologies.
Maintain high quality output even in complex situations with tight deadlines. Self-motivated to learn with the ability to perform with minimal supervision.
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and exhibit strategic thinking skills, effective communicator.
Must excel in the use of analytical and thorough research skills to troubleshoot inventory/parts problems.
Must work effectively under demanding time constraints, completing assignments and projects with accuracy.
Ability to support shift changes periodically.
Must possess strong task organization skills.
Be able to use a computer with accuracy and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet demands of the job Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

Must be able to work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines
Must be able to travel, up to 5%, with some overnight stays to meet the requirements of the position
