Position : Homeless Services Coordinator
Job Description : The City of Plano is looking for innovative and forward-thinking people to join our team as a Homeless Services Coordinator in the Neighborhood Services Department. As a Homeless Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for serving the homeless residents of Plano.
A successful candidate will have:
A background in social work, public administration, political science, urban planning, or related field.
Two years of related experiences.
A licensed social worker is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree is required in Social Work, Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field.
Valid Texas Class C driver’s license is required.
In addition to the minimum qualifications for the position, a successful candidate will:
Self-start and follow-through on projects.
Collaborate with community partners working to address homelessness.
Make home visits to non-homeless residents in need of social service assistance.
Assist program participants in accessing shelters, food pantry services, and assist with completing housing applications for subsidized housing opportunities.
Attend homeless coalition meeting and subcommittee meetings, as assigned.
