Job Description : Job Description — Laboratory TechnicianCandidate will work in laboratory doing wet work, precise weighing of material, sample preparation (by chemical or physical means), and operation of laboratory instruments using provided software.Candidate must possess good computer skills – Excel familiarity is a must. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and good handwriting for written records.Housekeeping work also required – washing of glassware, cleaning of work areas, maintaining stocks of supplies, etc.A degreed and/or experienced candidate would also be expected to improve / refine / streamline current laboratory procedures, help write and maintain SOPs, and develop procedures for new types of assays as required. All of these activities would be under the direction of the Laboratory Manager.Position reports to the Laboratory ManagerM-F 8-5, rare weekend work is possibleMust be able to stand for at times 75% of workdayMust be able to lift 50 pounds unassistedWould be required to wear lab coat and safety gogglesJob Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Signing bonusWork Location: One location
