Position : Employee Relations Consultant
Job Description : Job Specific ResponsibilitiesFunction as an expert internal consultant to assigned client groups to mitigate risk and ensure effective resolution ofemployee relations issues that is compliant with local, state and federal laws and regulations . With a focus on developingleader capability, provide guidance to leaders in the assessment of employee relations issues, communication anddocumentation of expectations to employees, and development of documentation for action plans and corrective action.Facilitate interpersonal dialogue to reduce conflict and identify solutions to problems. Use knowledge and understanding ofemployee relations and employment law to recognize when it is necessary to intervene or take the lead role in getting to asatisfactory resolution. Collaborate with other employee relations team members to ensure a consistent employee relationsapproach and policy interpretation/application across the organization.Use sound investigative techniques to conduct thorough, objective investigations on a variety of sensitive issues; interpretfindings and provide advice/guidance to management for appropriate disposition. Exercise discernment to know when toescalate employee relations issues and seek consultation with other HR and/or Legal experts to ensure investigations arecomprehensive and recommendations are sound.Work in partnership with internal and external legal counsel to research, investigate and respond to critical employeerelations cases that have potential for serious adverse impact to the organization, and employment law claims filed throughexternal agencies.Identify trends and collaborate with leaders and HR Consulting Services to enhance leadership effectiveness and employeeengagement. Provide expertise and partner with other HR Consulting Services and client departments to resolve complexworkplace issues. Develop methods and procedures for identifying, gathering and analyzing data; and prepare internal andexternal reports for problem-identification and decision-making.Provide advice and consultation to client group and HR team members on non-routine questions, requests for information andpolicy interpretation (e.g. review of background checks and drug testing results). Provide guidance to facilitate employeeintervention and access to assistance programs and services during times of distress and crisis.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.Patient ContactNone – Indicates that the person in the position has no contact with the patient or the patient’s family relative to his or hercare, treatment or service. Ex: All Director positions, all Information Services positions, Administrative Assistants.Work Experience: At least 5 years of related experience orHuman Resources management/generalist experienceEducation: Four-year Bachelor’s degree Required.Degree in Management, Human Resource Management or relatedField Preferred.Licenses and Certifications: HR Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) Preferred.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Human resources management: 3 years (Preferred)License/Certification:HR Professional Certification (Preferred)Work Location: One location
