Position : Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description : Position SummaryJob requirements include but are not limited to:Complete payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments.Research invoices, make calls, verify payment, request additional backup, etc.Record sales for company owned restaurants via journal entry.Verify and calculate extensions and totals on invoices, calculating and taking discounts when applicable.Check vendor files for previous payments and assign voucher numbers.Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.Appropriately charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports.Reconcile bank statements.Run and analyze accounts payable aging reports.Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all accounting systems.Pays vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.Maintains historical data by scanning and filing documents.Respond to emails and tickets in timely manner; researching questions when necessary.Qualifications/Skills Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related work experienceBasic understanding of principles of finance, bookkeeping and accountingAbility/willingness to work in office located in Uptown DallasJob Type: Full-timePay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Dallas, TX 75205: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: One location
