The Boeing Company is seeking a Interiors Assembler to join our teams supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Everett in Washington State! You will work within a fabrication environment by drawing on knowledge acquired from training and certification classes to complete your daily assigned work. By interpreting drawings and reading/comprehending work instructions you will be responsible for identifying your work (task) location on the airplane/part/tooling and identifying all required hand tools, parts and equipment to accomplish defect-free work. For an Interiors Assembler, daily assigned work could include:
As an Interiors Assembler you will work within a fabrication environment by drawing on knowledge acquired from training and certification classes to complete your daily assigned work. By interpreting drawings and reading/comprehending work instructions you will be responsible for identifying your work (task) location on the airplane/part/tooling and identifying all required hand tools, parts and equipment to accomplish defect-free work.For an Interiors Assembler, daily assigned work could include:

Within the Fabrication environment:
Use a computer in a production environment.
Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
Fabricate and assemble aircraft interior panels, stowage bins, sidewalls, closets, and other assemblies.
Depending on your work environment and assigned work the following tools and materials might be used:
Appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing.
Various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, sanders, knifes and various other hand tools.
Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes.
This position will require the following on a daily basis:
Once your work is completed per drawing requirement you’ll inspect your work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
The daily Physical Demands experienced are dependent upon your work environment, but most Interiors Assemblers can experience:
Frequent (3-6 Hrs.): Handling (holding, grasping), Standing, Carrying/Lifting up to 10 pounds,
Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Twisting at the waist and walking.
Exposure to constant noise Adhesives, Plastics and Solvents.
Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)- Will need this info
Use a computer in a production environment.
Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications
Experience utilizing screwdrivers, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, sanders, and various other hand tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Will need this info
Fabricate and assemble aircraft interior panels, stowage bins, sidewalls, closets, and other assemblies
Experience with various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, lock bolt puller, nut runner, knifes
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.
Shift:
This position is for 2nd shift.
Union:
This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement.
