Job Description : BartenderThis position is part time for Saturday and Sunday day shift only. Must be available for both days between 10am and 5pm. Evening bar shifts may be available in addition depending on skill level and availability.Bartender tip pool average $40+ per hour ($15hr base + tips, calculated 2021)Since we first opened in 1999, Monsoon has always been about marrying Vietnamese tradition to modern innovation using fresh, local ingredients from the Pacific Northwest. These recipes are from our family, from Saigon. But they are elevated and inspired by the bounty of our region. We use small farms wherever possible, we source local seafood, and we make everything by hand. We opened Monsoon because, at the time, there was nothing like it in the Pacific Northwest. Sure, we wanted this food for ourselves, but more than that, we were excited to share it with everyone. The rest is history…We are looking to have new team member be part time Saturday and Sunday mornings with the possibility of picking up serving shifts for extra hours if wanted.ResponsibilitiesPrepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patronsInteract with guests, take orders and serve food and drinksAssess guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendationsMix ingredients to prepare cocktailsPlan and present bar menuCheck guests’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking ageRestock and replenish bar inventory and suppliesStay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experienceComply with all food and beverage regulationsHelp with ordering, ingredient inventory and stocking.Build weekly, monthly and quarterly drink specials with an eye for core speciality cocktails for the digital menu.SkillsResume and proven working experience as a bartenderExcellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinksComputer literacyKnowledge of a second language is a plusPositive attitude and excellent communication skillsAbility to keep the bar organized, stocked and cleanRelevant training certificateExperience managing and working with teamsLocal Craft Beer, Wine and Spirits knowledge with an emphasis on bourbon, ryes and scotch is highly desirableJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $25.00 – $55.00 per hourBenefits:Employee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePhysical Setting:BarCasual dining restaurantSchedule:Day shiftWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:TipsWork Location: One location
