Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.As a quality assurance specialist, you will…Assess quality of daily production through review and analysis of documentation and data. Identify and communicate trends and investigates root cause. Initiate and lead investigation of hold issues and provides recommendation for disposition to QA Manager. Ensure that regular reports of product statuses are provided to operationsDevelop and deliver training curriculums for quality and coffee education-based programs. Support quality assurance technicians in development of training skillsEngage with engineering and manufacturing to develop test protocols and procedures for evaluating quality parameters as it applies to equipment and process. Lead or participates in supply chain or plant-initiated process improvement activities; supports process and product development.Oversee maintenance of quality assurance lab according to cleanliness standards. Ensure equipment is calibrated and in working order. Maintain a clean and organized working environmentSupport manufacturing quality assurance team to develop and communicate quality specifications and standards. Manage plant documentation control program. Maintain facility certifications and regulatory licenses. Provide documentation to auditors, applies for renewals and participate in certification audits.Work with manufacturing quality assurance team to develop, implement and manage programs related to product and process quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. Conduct audits of programs and processes. Identify opportunity and provide solutions for improvements. Leads HACCP and GMP compliance teamsDemonstrate and understand safety as our core value and follows the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution; coaches others to do the sameUnderstand and follow established safety guidelines, consistently complies with all safety procedures (e.g. PPE, Lock Out Tag Out).Reinforce safe practices to other partners and provide coaching when witness to unsafe practicesSupport food safety, legality and quality programs.Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Starbucks Mission & ValuesMaintain product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures.
