Job Description : Payroll Specialist / Accounts PayableEastern Washington-based Union Construction Contractor seeks talented, motivated, and experienced Payroll specialist to assist with Payroll, Certified Payroll Reporting, Union Wage Reporting, Accounts Payable and other administrative tasks.DUTIES: Payroll: Process Weekly PayrollsReport Certified PayrollIn-process New HiresMaintain employee documents and filesField employee’s questions and administrative needsAccounts Payable: Input bills/credits payables into accounting systemManage Vendor AccountsProcure and verify Lien ReleasesCompliance: Assist with all tasks to facilitate compliance with the following agencies:WA Labor and Industries; WSDOT; UnionsAdministration: Make copies; scan and save documents; prepare items for mailing; organize digital and hard-copy files/folders; receive and make phone calls; prepare forms.Qualifications: -Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred-Minimum 5 years’ experience working for a construction company as a Payroll Specialist-Minimum 5 years experience using Quickbooks Payroll Software; experienced with Quickbooks Desktop version 2019 or newer-Ability to communicate effectively: write in complete sentences using proper and courteous language/grammar-High-level computer skills including email, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft File Explorer, scanning, printing-Distinctly self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environmentJob Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayOvertimeApplication Question(s):Are you experienced managing Payroll for a Union Construction Contracting Company, processing payroll, reporting certified payrolls via WA L&I, Davis-Bacon, etc?Education:High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:Payroll Specialists: 5 years (Required)Language:English (Required)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Required)Shift availability:Day Shift (Required)Work Location: One location
