Job Description : America’s Automotive Trust (AAT), is recruiting for a full-time National Marketing Director for our Tacoma, Washington location. We invite you to become a part of our team as we move towards the futureGENERAL SUMMARY: America’s Automotive Trust aims to perpetuate car culture and preserve our automotive heritage through the collaborative efforts of member entities including LeMay – America’s Car Museum (Tacoma, WA), RPM Foundation (Chicago, IL), America on Wheels Museum (Allentown, PA), Club Auto (Detroit, MI) and Concours Club, as well as affiliated institutions across the country.The National Marketing Director must have a global mindset to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy, with specific emphasis on membership growth and retention, brand tone and awareness, unique and authentic marketing campaigns, digital content integration, community relationship building, and expansion into new markets. The incumbent will help America’s Automotive Trust to promote the love of driving, the recognition of the importance of automotive heritage, and to foster the next generation of automotive enthusiasts, skilled craftsmen and women.The National Marketing Director reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement (VPIA), facilitates all aspects of America’s Automotive Trust (the Trust) and its member organizations’ marketing, communication and strategies, and oversees the work of all supporting marketing positions. The incumbent must be able to work independently under minimal supervision with general instructions to fulfill the responsibilities described herein and requires discretion to make decisions supporting the organization’s objectives and departmental goals.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Planning budget and revenue goals; Planning and implementing creative development, graphic design, brand positioning, visual imagery, tone of voice across all communications, and digital content integration. In addition, this position provides oversight of the development, production, facilitation, execution and outcomes of all major events and public relation engagements.PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:Develop, coordinate, and implement AAT’s marketing promotion strategy, and programing, value added benefits;Oversee development, production and distribution of information necessary to promote the Trust, member entities and their programs;Develop expertise in the Trust brand, including standards on voice, messaging and graphics; serve as a spokesperson for the Trust with media, and increase all staff, board members and volunteers ability to communicate our vision and mission by helping them improve their implementation of brand standards;Coordinate with all organizations and Executive Directors to achieve a collaborative and inclusive environment, and set a consistent tone in marketing, graphic design and events that represents our cause in an authentic, genuine, welcoming and fun way;Collaborate with the Advancement Team to keep up-to-date with trends, benchmarking, best practice, professional standards, regulations and new concepts and ideas within the field of Annual Giving;Enhance the public attraction of the Trust and member organizations, and generate goodwill through digital and print marketing and communications that is in line with the Trust’s mission, vision and strategic goals;Ensure all collateral, publications, newsletters, and e-blasts are consistent with the respective organizations’ branding and Trust style guidelines, and that communications are accurate, timely, and appropriate for the target audience;Engage key audiences through comprehensive digital content integration as well as in-person engagement of exhibitory and events and establish and maintain marketing synergy by strategic alignment of all product and corporate messages in a manner that maximizes customer and stakeholder relationships;Act as counsel to internal stakeholders on appropriate tactics to accomplish departmental communication needs.Draft, implement, and monitor the Trust’s Marketing and Communications budget including tracking income and expenditures, authorizing disbursements, financial analyses, and preparing reports;Develop and implement a comprehensive staff development plan in the areas of responsibility;Communicate strategic and tactical initiatives to Board and Steering Committee members as the internal spokesperson for marketing activities and reporting;Serve as an official representative of the Trust, manage all media inquiries, write press releases, facilitate opportunities to position the CEO, VP of Institutional Advancement, and Executive Directors, prepare and staff all media interviews and assist all organizations in effective communication with the public in conjunction with an agency of record (if applicable);Manage the creation of collateral materials, marketing promotions, campaigns and events for all organizations and ancillary activities;Direct work with all contracted marketing-related services and agencies, ensuring consistency in branding and messaging in all products;Recruit, develop and manage talented team members;Research and create statistical analysis regarding industry trends, advertising effectiveness and competitive intelligence;Serve as a copywriter and coordinate member publications and e-blast curation, including EnRoute and OpenRoad magazine;Establish a sustainable digital media strategy that encompasses all organizations;Serve as an internal subject matter expert regarding emerging trends, best practices and usable systems.QUALIFICATIONS: The incumbent for this position must be at least 21 years of age and possess: A valid Driver License; A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing or a related Communications discipline (other degrees may be considered based upon relevance); A minimum of four years’ experience in advertising, public relations, project management, or graphic design. Additional relevant education or marketing and communications experience may substitute year for year for the education or experience requisite respectively.
