Position : Quality Inspector
Job Description : Starts at $25 per hour.Upholds and maintains product quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.This position is Day Shift.Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Inspects incoming and in-process materials by conducting visual inspection, measurements, and rejecting unacceptable materials.- Approves finished products by confirming requirements, conducting visual inspection and measurements, returning products to Production for re-work.- Documents inspection results.- Other duties may be assigned.Competencies- Computing – Requires basic knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel.- Interpersonal –Listens without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control.- Oral Communication – Speaks clearly; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions.- Team Work – Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views; Gives/welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team.- Written Communication – Writes/documents clearly and informatively.- Quality Improvement – Looks for ways to improve/promote product quality.- Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time.- Professionalism – Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of status or position.Experience/EducationOne to two years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.High School diploma required.Work Environment and Physical DemandsWarehouse environment. Requires handling/lifting boxes up to 35 pounds for extended periods of time.
