Position : Professional Dog Walker
Job Description : As a dog walker, you will walk dogs from client homes as scheduled. A key element of this role is to have physical stamina and the ability to control dogs during walks with intermittent hazards such as vehicle and pedestrian traffic (including avoiding other dogs). Success in this role will be determined by client satisfaction and the health and well-being of the client’s pets.During our walks we follow agreed-upon routes and schedules. You may be asked to provide food and water during your visit, and dispose of waste. You provide companionship to our dog clients during work hours or vacation absences as well. You may also be responsible for taking pets to the veterinarian in the event of an emergency.Requirement for this job include:High school diploma or equivalentMust have physical strength and staminaPrior experience working with dogsResponsible and trustworthyPatient and punctualCompassionYou may occasionally be asked to assist during dog training sessions. As a dog training assistant you will get the opportunity to learn the craft of dog training from our certified professional dog trainer. You may be asked to assist during classes by handling a demo dog, being a distraction for clients dogs, managing equipment, assisting clients, and offering help to the trainer as asked.
