Position : Title Clerk
Job Description : This Title Clerk position will be for two auto licensing locations. The training will be done in our Ferndale location and some shifts in our Bellingham location. Applicant must be available and willing to take shifts at either office, including training.Title Clerks process vehicle and vessel title transactions, tab renewals, address changes, disabled parking, tonnage and gross weight, ownership in doubt, etc. and is required to memorize extensive knowledge regarding Washington State’s laws in regards to vehicle licensing.The position will be primarily full time, but we may consider part time if the right candidate applies.Requirements:- H.S. Education (Degree preferred)- Highly capable memorization skills- Excellent data entry/computer skills- At least 50+ WPM- Excellent customer service- Ability to multi-task- Requires complex problem solving- Ability to take correction and instructions, there is a strong learning curveBenefits/Information:- Sick time accrual up to 40 hours a year- Vacation days accrued after a year of employment- Employee SEP pension plan after three years of employment- No health/dental insurance- Raises/employee reviews annually, bi-annually depending on employee performance- Starting pay at $18.00, higher with licensing experience, especially if you have ever been a qualified or certified title clerk- Raise based off passing the 3 month qualifying testThe position requires 3 month probationary period, with a 3 month qualifying test that must be passed with the Department of Licensing/County Auditor.
