The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is seeking an Enrollment Counselor – Boca Raton, FL.
The Enrollment Counselor is key to FAU’s customer service and recruitment efforts. Work across multiple teams to enhance the recruitment, onboarding, and enrollment of new students. Their performance in this position has a direct impact on new student enrollment levels and the overall mission and purpose of the university.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide positive first impression of FAU as families enter the lobby of Office of Admissions.
Counsel and advise prospective students, applicants, and family members about admissions requirements, application status, and other opportunities at Florida Atlantic University.
Explain admissions decisions and steps needed for all applicant types to take regarding achieving admission to FAU.
Explain the residency process to new students – provide university forms and instructions for students to understand the legal presence needed to qualify for FL residency for tuition purposes.
Refer students to appropriate areas around the university to obtain support and take care of onboarding tasks.
Take time and effort to assist first-generation students and their family members with the admissions process.
Support all on-campus recruitment events, including Open Houses and other divisional events. Regularly communicate with potential students and leverage a variety of different communication sources and strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
