Position : Plant Manager
Job Description : Our client, Miami Beef a wholesaler meat supplier is looking to add a Plant Manager to their team. Miami Beef is a family-owned company that is experiencing rapid growth. This is a great opportunity to make a big impact as they continue unprecedented growth. The Plant Manager will report directly to the owners of the company. As a Plant Manager, you will be in charge of managing daily production. This includes but is not limited to: coordinating the efficient setup of plant machinery, coordinating packaging needs, overseeing production runs, checking product spec conformity, training employees, and disciplining employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production runs, coordinating where and what regarding machinery, meat, and team members for each production line
Communicate with management, shipping & receiving team members to ensure proper flow of product (FIFO)
Walk the grounds and freezers daily to ensure all products are labeled and the facility is tidy
Execution of Compliance Programs (and documentation) which may include: Monitoring adherence to USDA regulations (such as Sanitation Standard Procedures, SSOPs), Operational and Daily Pre-Operational Verifications, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) coordination and verification.
Work with our Quality team to execute on 3rd party audits
Work with owners to schedule production
Requirements:
5+ years experience as a Plant Manager in a beef or poultry production facility is highly desired
Proficient in MS outlook suite
Fluent in English and Spanish required
