Position : Procurement Specialist
Job Description : Company Objective:At Liberty Landscape Supply (LLS) our goal is to be the best landscape supply company in the Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia area as measured by customer retention, satisfaction, overall customer and organizational growth, and by meeting and exceeding customer expectations every single day.As Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring Liberty Landscape Supply purchases of goods and services align with the companies defined operational goals. This position will lead the sourcing of goods, materials and equipment that strike a balance between quality and cost. This position will require managing both internal and external customer relationships.Ensure compliance of the procurement processes and procedures, responsible for order placement, supply, material replenishment and supplier performance.Manage and oversee the purchasing and inventory of hard goods, live goods, maintenance materials, supplies and equipment for retail and commercial locations.Select vendors through procurement practices that consider total cost of ownership and compliance adherence.Compare prices amongst various vendors in order to mke sound purchasing decisions.Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains adequate.Work within given budget to purchase goods and services.Manage supplier relationships, resolve disputes and claims with suppliers and vendors.Evaluates the performance of vendors in order to decide whether or not to continue to buy from them.Recommend and implement process improvements to maximize operating productivity, quality and efficiency while minimizing total cost of goods sold.Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner, and the quality of the goods received is satisfactory.Negotiates with vendors on price, mode of shipping and delivery time.Checks invoices for accuracy, and authorizes the accounts payable department to issue payment.Work with internal customers to identify and address unmet needs that are supported by procurement and define business goals to deliver long term value and satisfaction.Collaborate with cross-functional teams at the retail locations and within the support team to promote growth and efficiency.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Jacksonville, FL 32217: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: One location
