Job Description : Mid-Florida Pathology is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. The Laboratory Courier transports and delivers medical specimens, documents, packages, and supplies timely and effectively. This position requires flexibility, reliability, organization, and a good knowledge of the geographical area. Each driver may work 150-200 mile route.RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assures patient and employee confidentiality at all times.2. Complies with policies and procedures.3. Completed daily runs within established daily time frames.4. Determines and sets priorities effectively on a daily basis.5. Assures that the transport vehicle receives regular maintenance according to the established schedule and that required repairs are completed promptly.6. Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills with co-workers and customers.7. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivering goods.8. Perform other related duties as assignedMIN REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.Must have a clean driving record and be able to be insured under company policy.Must have a clean background.Must to be able to pass a drug screeningKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule (this is not a 8-5)Willingness to be on-call if neededAbility to lift up to 50 lb.Ability to drive extended periods.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to climb stairs throughout the day.Must have a basic understanding of computers.Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and the public.Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness.Ability to maintain the confidentiality of informationAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.To apply please contact us with a copy of your CV via e-mail.Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Eustis, FL 32726: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Work Location: One location
