Position : Program Director
Job Description : Since 1970, Family Resources has been the agency to turn to for crisis counseling, safe shelter and safe respite for runaway and homeless teens. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of those who need our help and have no where else to turn.

Who we need:
The Program Director is responsible for leadership of two or more programs, with associated administrative responsibilities, program tasks and provision of client services. The Program Director is to provide supervision and management of the program and services designed by the agency.
This position must maintain a wide range of working relationships internally and externally, ensure programs are client-driven and responsive to youth, families, the community and funders. Provide consistent leadership for the team as demonstrated by a high level of engagement, shared accountability with your teams. This position will also lead groups and carry a caseload. This position requires on-call capabilities to assist in program management of 24/7 programs.

Salary: $67,080 annually

Schedule: Typically Monday – Friday (note: must have the flexibility to amend schedule to meet the needs of the program and/or staff when required)

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
LEADERSHIP
Responsible for ensuring the agency strategic plan and vision are utilized as guideposts to providing high levels of quality care to our clients and in working with agency staff.
Acts as visionary in terms of developing and implementing program expectations and staff engagement.
Leads by example in terms of professional and personal conduct.
ADVOCACY
Attends community meeting to ensure high visibility and collaboration with consumers, referrals sources and funders.
Maintains good working relationships with schools, law enforcement and other referral sources and ensures proper MOU and other agreements are in place.
Participates in local and state organizations related to the agency’s mission. Is available in an “expert” capacity, either as a speaker or organizer.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Ensures that the program’s financial resources are effectively managed; ensures that the program complies with established fiscal policies, procedures and controls.
Establishes and monitors a system to measure cost effectiveness and ensure the efficient use of resources.
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
Responsible for working knowledge of agency policies and working with Senior Leadership to fairly and consistently implement the agency policies and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring a culture of customer service and client engagement in all Manatee programs.
Oversees the operation of all Manatee programs.
Selects qualified candidates to staff the Manatee programs and provides appropriate supervison necessary to accomplish program goals.
Responsible for oversight and assurance of quality clinical services in all programs.
Responsible for assessing youth within required timeframes indicated as high-risk or with suicidal ideations to determine level of care.
Successfully completes all required trainings and ensures all staff meet annual training requirements.
Effectively uses both staff and volunteer resources to accomplish the Mission of the agency.
Responsible for understanding funder requirements and expectations. Set up and/or manage effective programmatic systems to ensure contract compliance.
Ensures the completion of required reports to address funders’ contract compliance and internal quality control and data collection needs.
Responsible for facilitating groups when needed and carrying a small caseload.
EFFECTIVENESS
Establishes appropriate outcome objectives for the agency and implements a system to measure their achievement.
Understands state licensing requirements for residential facilities and the Department of Juvenile Justice quality assurance standards and insures compliance with them.
Ensures agency compliance with all programmatic and contractual agreements.
Ensures programs and services appropriately address the needs of the community by conducting on-going evaluations, reviews and revisions.
CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
Establishes and ensures ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement in all programs.
Responsible for participating in the agency CQI process/committees and ensuring regular staff participation as well.
Administers process evaluation by identifying and monitoring key indicators.
Meets accreditation standards established by the Council on Accreditation.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND FUNDRAISING
Represents Manatee programs on a variety of community coalitions and advocacy groups to network and coordinate service delivery to youth we serve.
Represents Manatee programs with specific funders as requested.
Participate as requested in grant writing as it pertains to our Manatee County programs.
Participates in a leadership role with all fundraising events.
Skills / Requirements
Licensure in the state of Florida as a LMHC, LCSW or LMFT
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in increasingly responsible administrative or management capacity.
Must have the ability to work with diverse groups and individuals in task-oriented environments.
Must be dependable, possess good judgement and problem-solving skills
Willing to work nontraditional hours as needed
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Must demonstrate awareness and acceptance of cultural differences of clients; staff and community contacts.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and a variety of professional and community persons.
Must possess excellent organizational skills, well developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively deal with complex issues.
Must maintain a high degree of professionalism and reliability within areas of responsibility by providing leadership, direction, motivation and training.
The possession of a personal cellular phone is required for use in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
Should possess characteristics that show sound judgement in fulfilling position duties and responsibilities as well as a cooperative attitude in working relationships with senior members of management.
