Position : DELIVERY ASSOCIATE – HELPER
Job Description : Kohler Distributing Company, a leading beer, wine, and spirits wholesale distribution facility in Hawthorne, NJ, is looking for quality, full-time local Delivery Helpers to join our team and help fulfill our commitments to our customers. Open to all qualified candidates, the position is unionized with Teamsters Local 11.Every newly hired helper will also be paid a $1,000 retention bonus over the course of the first six months of employment. $250 after 30, 60, 90 and 180 days of employment!!ResponsibilitiesWorks with driver making local deliveries.Utilizes equipment such as: hand-truck and ramp.Work in adverse weather conditions.Must deal with dispatchers, loaders, customer representatives, guards, and other personnel with high ethical and professional behavior.QualificationsOrganized and have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.Ability to multi-task and keep track of multiple priorities.Ability to follow instructions easily.The ability to sit, carry, push, pull, reach, and lift a minimum of 65lbs for 8+ hours per day.Helpers are paid by the hour, by the number of delivered cases, and per load, up to $17.50/hour.Helpers start at $13.00 per hour plus the above mentioned pay structure. All 1st loads include 8 hours of guarantee pay. 2nd loads are paid at a rate of 7.2 regular hours per load. (Earn an extra day’s pay by completing a 2nd load.) Standard FLSA overtime rules still apply for hours worked within the pay period. Commissions are paid based on load size and piece count.This is an unionized position with Teamsters, Local 11.
