SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for creating and leading a program to provide support for students throughout their enrollment at the college. The Coordinator is responsible for developing and leading the implementation of the program, in collaboration with other college departments. The Coordinator is responsible for the overall development and assessment of the RCBC Student Success Coach programs, including but not limited to the development and implementation of trainings and workshops with a focus on minimizing barriers to success; collaboration with college resources to best support students and coaches; developing and coordinating individualized student care based interventions and communication; supporting academic advising and coaching efforts through individual student coaching sessions and collaboration with other college departments; and maintaining oversight of all program administration.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the college’s student success coaching program, in collaboration with other college departments, including continual development and assessment of the coaching structure, program goals, student learning outcomes, assessment strategies, training for various types of coaching and collaboration with other departments for information and engagement in the program.
Manage the administration of the coaching program, including identification and/ or selection of success coaches, management of any budgeted funds, approvals of time cards (when needed), coaching schedules, assignment of coaching cohorts and coordination and analysis of regular assessments and tracking of academic progress within cohorts.
Develop, implement and assess training programs for success coaches to include effective coaching strategies, awareness of college resources and academic deadlines, and development of content to empower, support and strengthen a student’s experience.
Coordinate with success coaches to develop and facilitate workshops for students on topics that meet the learning outcomes and impact a student’s experience.
Assist with providing high quality coaching opportunities for students by offering student appointments and facilitating workshops and training sessions.
Develop and implement reports that showcase the impact of student success initiatives on student retention and academic performance, including but not limited to student success coaching.
Assist with the development and distribution of student care focused communication in concert with other college communication
Assist with the creation, develop and implementation of student success area initiatives and projects that enhance the student experience and promote retention efforts
Supervise student staff assisting with coaching program and Division initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred in counseling, social work, education or related field
Experience:
Required:
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in an environment coaching college students or young adults with a focus on goal achievement, overcoming obstacles and developing skills to grow as a student and professional.
Preferred:
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience designing content and facilitating workshops and conducting trainings to support other coaches.
Demonstrated experience working with individuals from diverse socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds with a focus on accessing college and community resources.
Experience working with community college students, specifically students needing overall college preparation and / or readiness skills.
Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements:
Experience using technology for organization, communication, assessment, and program development.
Knowledge and awareness of current research related to student success strategies, advising frameworks and coaching practices.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with academic and student service team members.
Experience creating, implementing and facilitating new initiatives from concept to full implementation.
Strong verbal, presentation, writing, and listening skills
Interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to cultivate effective relationships with a wide range of individuals (faculty, administrators, staff, students, and family members) and to work cross functionally.
Additional Information
INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:
Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
