Job Description : Monday-Friday (Day Shift) – 15 Paid Days Off – 7 Paid Holidays- Competitive Wages – Comprehensive Benefits Package (401K Company Match – Employer HSA Contribution if enrolled in ADESA Medical Plan)Job Summary: Reporting to the Operations Manager or designated manager, provide and record accurate information on vehicles being checked into auction for sale. Vehicle Check in Clerks work must be able to work outdoors under any type of weather conditions. Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times.Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following1. Provide excellent customer service:2. Process Check-In of Vehicles:§ Using handheld computer, input vehicle information including the VIN number, miles, dealer identification number, vehicle options, repair orders and any other pertinent information.§ Verify the VIN number being entered matches the VIN number on the shipper’s Bill of Lading.§ Generate Stock-In sticker & Auction Sale Sticker (Vehicle Run Number) and apply to window.§ Write vehicle run number on the passenger front side window.§ Issue new run sticks for vehicles not sold in prior week’s auction and input information into AuctionTrac.Qualifications:· High School Diploma or GED preferred.· Basic computer skills are required.· Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.· Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:The physical activity requirements of the position are from Light to Medium Physical WorkConstant – standing, watching, touching and fingering, listeningFrequent – walking, talking, reaching, feeling, grasping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, stooping, crouching, liftingOccasional – climbing, balancing, crawlingPotential – running, jumping, yelling, or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situationsThis position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions.Note: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by incumbents in this position.
