Job Description : The Stewart Companies is seeking a talented and motivated professional to join the Corporate Human Resources team as an HR Administrator. The HR Administrator will support all businesses under the Stewart Companies umbrella and will be involved in a wide spectrum of HR-related activities, including the pre-employment process, onboarding, recruiting administration, and benefits and payroll shared services support. He/she will also team up with other HR and Payroll colleagues on value-added project work.SUMMARYThe HR Administrator provides broad HR support to his/her client groups with primary responsibilities focused on the administrative work that is involved in recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and payroll. He/she is responsible for effectively and efficiently administering the company’s HR processes and procedures and ensuring that employees receive timely and accurate information regarding their employment. He/she is also responsible for completing HR project work as assigned in an effort to continuously improve the company’s HR programs and processes and establish a best-in-class HR organization. He/she may also support payroll processing when necessary.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESSupports the onboarding process for new employees as well as the new hire orientation process to ensure an effective and streamlined approach to how employees are hired into the organization.Responsible for maintaining employment records in accordance with regulations and ensuring files are up to date.Supports new hire and open enrollment benefits administration processes.Serves as a key user of the Stewart Companies HR system (UltiPro), including ensuring accurate data entry, ongoing maintenance, and reporting.Collaborates closely with the Shared Services function to successfully support the interface between the benefits and payroll functions.Assists with coordinating and championing employee engagement activities.Assist in coordinating events for recruitment and training.Manages and/or serves as a team member for HR projects as assigned.Responds to requests for employment verifications.Supports recruitment efforts when needed.Serves as a first point of contact for answering basic employment-related questions and addresses concerns and issues as they arise with direction from the VP, Human Resources.Provides backup to the Payroll Administrator, including processing payroll for multiple companies, reviewing timecards for accuracy and completeness, completing pre-processing audits, and deposit and positive pay transmission.Other HR duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSPost-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.2+ years of related experience, with specific exposure to onboarding, benefits administration and HR systems preferred.UltiPro experience a plus.PHR certification a plus.Experience with processing payroll a plus.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Strong customer-service orientation with a drive to respond timely and thoroughly to questions and concerns.Possesses an inquisitive mindset and a willingness to look for opportunities for continuous improvement.Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work well with employees and business associates at all levels with a professional attitude.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
