Remote / Hybrid Schedule Job Opportunity from Chesterbrook, PA
The Research Solutions Analyst role reviews public records and internal contract data to identify, assess, and organize information and data related to structured settlement and annuity cases. This position will report to the Team Manager in the Research Department and requires a combination of analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills to bolster the daily operations of the Structured Settlement Sales team.
Responsibilities:
Conduct factual (non-law) public record research to locate civil, criminal, probate and other types of cases and court documents in multiple jurisdictions around the country. This includes periodic phone calls to courthouses, prisons, and other government agencies for information and verification.
Use various conventional and unconventional skip tracing tools to conduct advanced research, locate people, skip trace evasive debtors, and to prevent and detect fraud.
Submit orders for public record document retrieval through outside vendors.
Review public records and internal contract data to identify accurate names and possible contacts, verify identities, uncover additional parties of civil cases, and obtain all identifying information that can be used for locating the parties.
Research and review cases via various online court websites to obtain case numbers, hearing dates, parties, case outcomes, etc. while ensuring the cases are related to the Structured Settlement industry.
Enter data into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets used for various tracking and reporting purposes.
Prepare a written summary of research results in a concise, clear yet comprehensive fashion to submit to the requesting business unit.
Perform various administrative tasks (i.e., writing public record requests, verbally following up with Court Clerks and submitting payments).
Qualifications:
Public Records Research Analyst Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Public Records Research Analyst Qualifications & Skills:
Solid, proven intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is strongly required
Ability to analyze complex information, extract pertinent facts and draw constructive conclusions based on the information without specific or set guidelines
Experience reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting complex business-related legal documents, as well as multi-jurisdictional dockets, case filings, and associated court orders
Strong business acumen and professionalism
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Self-disciplined and ability to work independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Can identify issues with a strong attention to detail
Public Records Research Analyst Skills
Preferred (1) year of prior experience conducting factual (non-law) public record research and/ora minimum (1) year of prior skip tracing experience with an emphasis on tracking via open-source internet tools and social media coupled with court/public record sources and on-line subscription/data broker services.
Prior working knowledge of Westlaw, LexisNexis (Accurint) and TLO is a plus.
