Position : Student Success Coach
Job Description : The Student Success Coach provides advising, programming, and resources to support student success from enrollment to graduation. They help students navigate the entirety of their college experience including their academic and holistic development. Coaches serve as members of a team that ultimately provides a centralized hub of information, resources, and support for students.This position is primarily based at the Summerdale campus. Some travel to the Lancaster location is required.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Practice proactive advising to support students attending daytime, evening Summerdale, evening Lancaster, and online classes.Assist students with course registration.Provide proactive outreach to students who have been identified as needing more support through one or more channels.Holistically support students through programming and co-curricular opportunities.Maintain accurate and organized records in support of the confidentiality, planning, and assessment practices of the department.Support Student Success and Advising Center, Student Services, and the college through professional development, strategic planning, committee work, and assessment as assigned.Ideal candidate will possess: Master’s Degree in Education/Higher Education, the social sciences, the humanities, Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, or other field.At least two years of experience working with students in higher education, specifically in a capacity as instructor, advisor, or other student-facing position.Deep personal commitment to fostering student success in post-secondary education through pedagogical, advising, and coaching practices.Ability to utilize technology including but not limited to Campus Management/Anthology, Blackboard, and Microsoft applications including Teams.Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing, and public speaking skills.High level of attention to detail.Ability to foster a safe, inclusive, respectful, and nurturing environment through coaching and programming.Central Penn College values an institutional culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
