Job Description : Print Shop Production AssociateMinuteman Press of Warminster is a local print/sign shop looking for a real team player to work in our production department primarily. We perform a wide variety of printing – from paper (business cards, flyers, brochures) to signage. We currently have an opening in our production department and are seeking a driven individual who shares our passion for quality print marketing and exceptional service. This position could be an excellent avenue for an individual who wishes to gain experience in the printing and graphics industry, or it could be a great next step for someone who has prior experience in printing.Minuteman Press is a one-stop shop for a variety of printing needs. As a result, our production team is cross-trained across a variety of duties. Specific responsibilities for our newest hire will vary based on this person’s experience and aptitude but may include:File inspection and pre-pressPrint production on a digital press or inkjet pressBindery and finishing (cutting, folding, scoring, etc)Bulk mailingWide format printingSign mounting, assembly and installationVinyl graphics – produce and installExpectations/Requirements:Digital printing experience preferred, but not requiredExperience with signs and/or vinyl is helpful, but not requiredEagerness to work and learn, and can comfortably handle a variety of responsibilities as they arise, retaining a smooth and efficient work environment are required.Must have a natural comfort with computers and technology.Must thrive in a deadline-driven work environment.Excellent communications and time-management skills.Able to lift up to 50 poundsDriver’s LicenseQualified candidate must be proficient in math and units of measurement.A “Can-Do” attitude that asks “Why not?” and “How can I?”Must be a problem-solverSelf-motivation that can get the job done without the need for constant oversightMust have confidence that takes ownership of not only the task but also the outcomeDetail-oriented and well-organizedAble to handle multiple tasks without confusion or frustrationA high personal standard of qualityAttention to detailUnderstanding of the importance and comfort adhering to systems and processes.MINUTEMAN PRESS of WARMINSTER is a family owned and operated business that puts community involvement at its forefront. This mindset is expected of any applicant pursuing the opportunities provided by this position. This position is full-time, 8:30pm-5:00pm, Monday – Friday. Overtime is needed occasionally (rarely more than 1-2 hours per week), and working on weekends is extremely rare.We typically cast a broad net when hiring for this position. A person with experience in any of the printing that we do would likely be a good fit, but we’re just as interested in the person who would be a great fit in our shop, but has no experience in printing.
