Theraplay, Inc., a leading provider of children’s therapy services, is currently seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join us at our pediatric outpatient center in East Norriton, PA. Theraplay, Inc. has fourteen outpatient locations throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. We provide the highest quality pediatric physical, occupational, speech and language, and feeding therapies to children from birth up to age 21 years. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in training and help to support the Patient Care Associates in all duties.
Greet all patients, families, and visitors who enter the center. This includes assisting patients with paperwork and collecting demographic information, reviewing family guide and policies with families, reviewing patient’s insurance benefits with the family, and collecting copays and outstanding fees.
Completing the new patient intake process. This includes completing intake forms, scheduling patients using our insurance guide, verifying insurance information and setting up the evaluation.
Assisting patients when finished therapy by reminding them of their next appointment date and referencing authorization period.
Competing next day appointment process.
Maintaining up to date and correct insurance information on all patients.
Completing end of day/week/month/year procedures. This includes daily closing reports, trash and office clean up, maintaining the inactive list, data entry, reviewing accuracy of statistics.
Maintaining optimal communication with the center, by working with the Manager of Front Desk Operations, Center Manager, and Associates.
Maximize Office Productivity.
Maintaining Quality Assurance Reports.
The preferred candidate will have experience working in a Front Office or Coordination role, in a medical setting, and should enjoy working around children and individuals who have disabilities. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you are the first person our families and patients make contact with, so having pride in customer service and satisfaction is extremely important. Experience working with insurances for authorization, pre-certifications, and referrals is optimal. Candidates should have excellent organizational and communication skills.
