Job Description : I. PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Team Leader is responsible for all aspects of operating the line and maintaining processes within prescribed specifications and safety, quality, efficiency and waste. In addition the Team Leader is responsible for providing leadership and training for all team members to allow them to perform their roles to the best of their ability and provide adequate training to do so.II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPersonally adhere to and enforce compliance with all safety and quality procedures, company policies and maintain good housekeeping standards of team members.Identify and communicate problems or potential problems immediately as identified in the escalation matrix.· Responsible for coordinating the effective execution of line changeovers.· Positively and constructively interacting with line team and other team members· Identify and arrange and/or provide training for employees as needed.· Anticipate needs and lead effort in maintaining the machinery; process, cleaning and routine maintenance with in process parameters.· Ensure daily paperwork is submitted accurately and on time.· Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) in setup of machine and follow escalation matrix when process settings do not follow SOPs.· Properly document process changes, and troubleshooting steps· Be able to perform and train all functions/positions needed to run the line (up to current position) as required.· Other duties as assigned.III. CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to effectively lead the work of others and train employees.Ability to understand and provide detailed instructionsMechanical aptitude and possess the ability to effectively lead and train others through problem solving situationsAble to remain on your feet for 8 hour-shifts (with periodic breaks and lunch).Ability to function safely and effectively in a fast-paced work environment.Good communication and organizational skills.Experience in working and communicating with all levels of the organization.Ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.Good verbal and written communication skills including presentation and meetings.IV. TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Intermediate Computer Skills (MS Office, Quality Windows, etc)Competent in the use of the Vision Inspection System operationV.
