Job Description : Regional Vice President of Sales– Radius HospitalityRadius Hospitality is currently seeking a Regional Vice President of Sales to join our hospitality management team. Located in Northeast Ohio, Radius Hospitality is a quality focused and results driven company looking for a knowledgeable, professionally aggressive, outgoing, enthusiastic and detail oriented individual to take on the sales and marketing responsibilities for our properties. Over the past several years we have had significant growth with the opening of four new hotels and a new restaurant concept. We currently have one hotel nearing completion as well as a hotel and restaurant development in the planning stages. Radius presently owns and manages properties in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Maryland including preferred managed relationships with IHG, Marriott, and Choice Hotels.This candidate must possess 3-5 years of experience with multiple unit Sales, Marketing and Revenue management in hotels, catering, and food & beverage operations. We are searching for a candidate with a proven track record with a progressive management history in all areas of hotel sales, revenue management and revenue generation.Responsibilities· Leads the hotels assigned in your portfolio utilizing a hands-on participative style.· The Generation of all top-line revenues and the execution of all activities to achieve these revenue goals.· Drive results through the hotel sales teams by ensuring sales goals, targets, and forecasts are met.· Assist each General Manager with the selection, training, development and appraisal of sales personnel.· Set written priorities and key objectives for each hotel quarterly including action plans and completion dates. Follow up to assure successful implementation and completion.· Assist and participate regularly with sales calls to major room night generators.· Provide one on one sales training as needed to keep the team sharp and successful.· Organize and oversee the yearly sales and marketing plan process with each property team to produce a realistic and workable document.· Organize, oversee and guide the overall social media presence of each hotel within assigned portfolio, to ensure each hotel is properly represented and positioned within its market for optimal exposure.· Review the monthly sales and marketing action plans, pricing strategies and market positioning in order to effectively direct the sales effort and overall sales strategy.· Review revenue management strategies on a weekly basis with each hotel and participate in the weekly Revenue Management calls with the property team members and brand revenue managers.· Have a working knowledge of all brand systems such as OPERA, Choice Advantage, FOSSE, MARSHA.· Oversee, guide and direct the RFP process to ensure timely completion and ensure that each property targets the right companies, with a rate strategy that is appropriate for the upcoming year.· Have open communication with the corporate management team on each properties performance and provide monthly recaps on successes, challenges, strategies and action plans.· Provide a written recap of each property visit to the appropriate management personnel.· Work closely with each property’s key accounts to maintain a professional working relationship.· Promote local awareness of assigned hotels through effective relations with CVB and local Chamber of Commerce.· Promote awareness of assigned properties through formal presentations and personal sales calls to local, corporate, association and leisure clients.· Participate in community events to establish presence, visibility and exposure for the hotels.· Effectively communicate with each property Director of Sales and General Manager as well as the respective Regional Director of Operations.· Serve as a leader within the industry and maintains knowledge of industry trends and translates to affect within the organization.· Assure that all Sales Company policies and procedures are fully implemented throughout the hotel.· Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Must be a leader with the ability to guide, direct and motivate a team.* Must have excellent problem solving skills and common sense to handle both internal and external customers.* Possess exceptional service and customer relations skills with ability to foster effective relationships with staff, management and clientele.* Have a natural sales aptitude with the ability to close.* Have a comprehensive knowledge and experience working with corporate travel, leisure and corporate group as well as extended stay markets.* Be articulate and possess excellent written and verbal skills.* Communicate ideas and concepts effectively.* Be able to manage multiple projects and properties.* Have the ability to organize and prioritize tasks.* Have a sense of urgency to complete task and stay on target.* Have previous hands on experience in hotel operations.* Understand not only the rooms side of the business but also Food & Beverage/Catering Sales* Be proficient in Microsoft office products to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.* Understanding of Social Media platforms, and SEO optimization and strategies.* Having a working knowledge of SalesPro is a plus.* Have a working knowledge of hotel brand systems through IHG, Marriott and Choice Hotels.* Ability to travel to our properties regularly which may include occasional evening, weekend and special occasion work.
