Job Description : Job Overview:
Truck Jockey
The Truck Jockey is responsible for moving trucks and empty and full trailers from the yard to the dock or the dock to the yard.
Shift and Schedule
3rd shift: Sunday through Thursday, 9:00pm-6:00am
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed is required.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay beginning at $20.66/hr with a $0.75 shift differential. Once in the role for 30 days an operating independently, pay will be increased to $21.66/hr plus shift differential.

Position Responsibilities
Average drop/hook per day = 40
Primary tasks will be basic yard tractor operations, dropping and pulling trailers in dock doors and parking them onsite.
Move trailers of shells and return the empties to be loaded.
Have empties in the appropriate docks to be loaded.
Ensure all trailers that are put in the dock are properly locked.
Keep the flow of loaded trailers removed from the dock and replaced by empties as to not slow down the loading process.
Provide yard checks as needed for trailer inventory.
Operate a forklift as needed.
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older
1 year of previous driving experience preferred
Valid Driver’s License
Lift, push and pull a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly
Prior experience jockeying trucks minimum of 48 feet
