In order to become successful delivery drivers, candidates must enjoy being out on the road driving, put safety first, and care deeply about customer expectations and satisfaction, among others.Currently, we are looking to fill both full-time and part-time delivery driving positions at DAT6 (7055 Campbellton Rd, Atlanta GA 30331). As a delivery driver, you will be subject to the responsibilities of following company procedures while loading and delivering customer packages. Delivery drivers are eligible to work three to four 10-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holiday shifts.ResponsibilitiesSafely drive and perform safety inspections on company vehiclesFollow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and company policiesSuccessfully handle and deliver packages on timeProvide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events/conditionsKeep up with the pace in a physically demanding work environment; work in all weather conditions; lift packages (up to 50 lbs); get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locationsCommunicate effectively with the support team to provide exceptional customer service and to ensure deliveries are completedUse a smartphone device for GPS Navigation, to scan packages, to conduct administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and to communicate with supervisors and other team membersLoad and unload packages to and from the delivery vehicleSupport the team in daily work requirements such as through participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routesConduct oneself in a highly ethical manner at all timesShow excellent attention to detailSolve problems independently using critical thinking skillsWork in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitudeWork with a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentBehave responsibly and courteously towards othersEmbrace our culture of teamwork, honor, and commitmentRequirementsMust be at least 21 years of ageMust have a valid driver’s license (CDL not required)Authorized to work in the United StatesMust pass a 5-Panel Drug ScreeningMust have a clean motor vehicle report (multiple violations may disqualify you from the position)Have a positive attitudeFluent in English (being bilingual/multilingual is a bonus)Able to complete mandatory trainingAvailable to work weekends and holidaysPhysical RequirementsLift a maximum of 50 pounds during an 8 to 10-hour work shiftAppropriately handle stressful driving demands including inclement weather conditionsClimb stairs, reach overhead, squat/bend/kneel during an 8 to 10-hour work shiftBenefitsCompensation starts at $17.25/hour (paid biweekly), subject to increase over time with performanceHealth benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coveragePaid time off, paid training, bonuses, and incentive plans.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
