Position : Surgery Scheduler
Job Description : Schedule Surgery PatientsCoordinate surgery date with patient, hospital and providerReview preop testing requirements, preop instructions. Information for Covid testing for NSH cases, medical history, and Medications.Create orders for clearances, additional imaging, brace/BGS, Physical therapy on behalf on surgeonCreate preop orders on the physician’s behalf & NSH consents on the physician’s behalfEmail patient information regarding their surgeryRequest any medical records needed to help precert; PT note, ESI notes, ChiroFax orders, consent, & H&P.Follow up on any clearances, additional imaging needed. Message for physician or mid level to review new images or abnormal labs.Email all vendors for surgery; hardware, monitoring, & the OR coordinator. Fax demo./ins. documents needed.Double check everything & if all completed set aside until surgery is completed then pass colored sheet to physician’s desk to write/confirm cpt codes to then submit to billing to process.Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
