You will:Provide support and guidance to HR generalists and assistants, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminationsProvide leadership and coaching assistance to people leaders on employee relations issues and through the creation of training programs and initiativesMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain complianceOversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigationsOversee leave management program and provide guidance to HR team on administration of leave management and other employee benefits and programsWhat You’ll Be Required to BringBachelor’s degree—preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldThree (3) years of human resources management experience, 5+ years preferredExtensive experience resolving conflict and handling employee relations issuesStrong understanding of all aspects of employment and human resources related laws, regulations, policies, principles, and practicesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareProficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systemsSHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desiredWho is SJV?Here’s the thing.
