Applicants must be highly self-motivated, with solid communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and lead other professionals and peers.About the Role: Have no fear Swyfft is here! “Weather” it’s a natural disaster or a total loss due to human error, our team of experienced CAT desk adjusters are the best of the best at handling catastrophic homeowner and commercial property claims. As a CAT desk adjuster, you’ll serve as the main point of contact with our agents and policy holders to ensure that their Swyfft experience is nothing but fast, friendly, and accurate. Only those with exceptional attention to detail, time management and strong interpersonal communication skills should apply.This position reports into our Catastrophe Claims Director.This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity. Some travel for team meetings and trainings will be required once it’s safe to do so.Key Responsibilities: (What you’ll be asked to do)Investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of Swyfft’ s liability concerning first party homeowner property loss or damages, and settle with our policyholders.Ensure that all assigned claims are resolved timely, accurately and resolved fairly.Communicate and connect with policyholders, agents, engineers, and service providers on a daily basis.When necessary, utilize appropriate third-party resources to investigate and evaluate all claims.Calculate benefits payable under the policy and either make payments or decline payments on claims.Evaluate and apply the homeowner insurance contract as it pertains to claims assigned for resolution.Understand, adjust and use loss damage estimates to accurately determine amounts payable and to collaborate as such with public adjusters, attorneys, contractors and other related service providers.Create and maintain a diary system in the electronic claims management system and related applications.The Successful Candidate: (what we’re looking for)You come to us with a proven track record with at least 5 years as a CAT claims adjuster in the Property & Casualty claims industry.You have a solid technical background in hands on loss estimating and construction, particularly with roof structures.Both internal (your peers) and external clients commend your excellent communication skills and the timeliness of your follow-up skills.You’re detail oriented, organized and can multi-task like nothing anyone has ever seen before!You’re a get the job done, self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Some Requirements: Undergraduate degree preferred.Experience in homeowners’ claims is required / commercial space is a plus.You are currently licensed as an adjuster in the states of TX and FL.
