Position : Accounts Payable Clerk
Job Description : Overall Purpose Ensures that all accounts payable functions for the school system are administered efficiently, effectively and accurately.Essential FunctionsReceives, reviews and seeks approval for vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.Enters, edits and posts invoices for payment.Produces weekly vendor payable checks and EFT payments.Verifies check register and cash disbursement report for each check run.Establishes and maintains binder of accounts payable proofs, check registers and cash disbursement reports.Establishes and maintains record of void checks.Researches statements and inquiries regarding past due invoices.Performs purchase order and invoice maintenance as needed.Establishes and maintains file of open purchase orders and contracted services.Performs other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED Certificate required.Physical RequirementsExerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to10 pounds of force as needed to move objects. Generally, the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking, and 20% standing.
