The MAP Division, which accounts for approximately three billion dollars annually of the State’s budget, is dedicated to advancing the health, wellness, and independence of those they serve by providing access to quality care and resources statewide to approximately 1.7 million Georgians.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Special Programs & Populations Manager is responsible for assisting in improving health outcomes for special populations.Roles and Responsibilities: Reports to Population Health & Quality Planning Director on activities and initiatives, including escalating any risks, issues, or concernsAssist offices, practices, and CMO’s to facilitate initiatives related to improving health outcomes for special populationsOversees existing programs and coordination of efforts to meet deliverables in timely mannerFinds new opportunities to offer new services to Medicaid members based upon researching other agencies or state plans that are succeedingProvides oversight of program compliance efforts and activitiesDevelops and recommends strategies for programs that serve specific populationsKey Skills and Qualifications: Significant experience working with special population in a public or community health settingStrong knowledge of managing program related to special populationsSocial Work background or related experienceSignificant experience working with special populationsSignificant knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and CMS policies and regulationsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, CMO’s, sister agencies, and other DCH divisionsKey Competencies: 1.
