Position : Properties Coordinator
Job Description : Under the general supervision of the Vice President Maintenance & Properties, the Properties Coordinator provides clerical support for real estate transactions and project management. The primary focus of the position is to provide administrative support to both the Real Estate Transaction Capital Projects team members as well as to handle lease administration duties across the terminal network.ResponsibilitiesSets up files and maintains appropriate documentation and record retention for all real estate transactions, owned properties, leased properties and capital project expenditures.Assists with property acquisition activities, lease administration and Real Estate capital projects.Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal clients, vendors, landlords and tenants.Reviews and tracks Capital Purchase Requisition requests.Tracks and submits approved Real Estate invoices for processing and payment.Creates and supplies routine and special requests reports from Real Estate portfolio database.Tracks analytics for the real estate department and manages the data into an organized format.Audits capital project files upon project completion.Performs other duties as required.Preferred QualificationsAssociate’s degree or equivalent1-2 years of experience with building leases and terms preferredStrong written, oral communications and presentation skillsExperience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Able to prioritize workAct as a self-starter, initiates activities & proactively performs dutiesAble to communicate effectively with people at various levelsGeneral understanding of building leases and termsWe are proud to offer the following benefits:Health Insurance with Medical, Rx & VisionDental InsuranceFree Life InsuranceFree Short-term Disability401(k) with immediate vesting & company matchImmediate eligibility for Holiday PayPaid Vacation days and Personal/Sick DaysEmployee Stock Purchase planCredit UnionOur MissionAt Saia Inc., success comes down to taking care of the people who matter most – our customers, our employees and our shareholders.
