Job Description : Job Summary

Central Arizona College is seeking reliable and mature Student Employees to complete a variety of operational duties.

Please read all job qualifications and requirements before applying. When applying please also indicate at the end of your application the department and campus in which you would like to work for, you may choose from the list of available positions below. Please note applications will be monitored bi-weekly and disbursed based on the departmental needs. All student employment positions are up to 19 hour per week, but vary on needs of department and eligibility.

Library Services- (one position) Student Office Assistant
Learning Center- (one position) Student Office Assistant
Student Engagement & Activities- (multiple positions) Student Activities Assistant, will assist with office assistant responsibilities in addition to working with Student Engagement office to execute various programs and events offered to CAC and surrounding community, including but not limited to E-Sports.
Signal Peak Campus:
Science and Engineering – Student Lab Assistant will assist in the set-up and take-down of lab equipment and supplies for science courses, and will be trained to work safely in a lab environment.

TRIO Office- (two positions) Math Tutor and Student Office Assistant
Police Department- (one position) Student Office Assistant
Warehouse- (one position) Student Warehouse Assistant, assists the Central Receiving warehouse in all activities, including materials handling and clerical functions. Ability to learn safe handling of all materials, supplies, and equipment typically found in a warehouse. Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs. and perform required record keeping and data entry tasks. Must also possess good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as provide an excellent customer service.
Early Childhood Learning Centers- (one position) Student Office Assistant, must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass a Criminal History Background Check and obtain and maintain a level one clearance card prior to beginning employment. Must obtain a physical exam and have a TB skin test prior to beginning employment. Lastly, must be able to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as face covering, gown, goggles and gloves, for any amount of time necessary to provide physical barrier to protect the employee and others.
Skilled Trades- (one position) Student Lab Assistant, Welding to prepare materials for class such as cutting testing and practice coupons; assists with equipment set-up for lab sessions; fabricate projects for the shop. (one position) Student Lab Assistant, Heavy Equipment Operator/Diesel.
Information Technology Services- (multiple positions) Student Office Assistant will assist with IT projects, help tickets dealing with computer and AV issues, help with student and staff walk-in questions and answering calls coming to ITS Helpdesk as well as creating help tickets.
Athletics – Baseball (multiple positions) 1) Field Maintenance Assistant: Ability to lift 50lbs, experience in landscaping, familiar with how to use machinery such as gas powered edger, blower, etc. Flexible work schedule, available to work home game days in Spring semester. 2) Game Operations and Social Media Assistant: Experience with social media applications (twitter, Instagram). Flexible work schedule, available to work home game days in Spring semester.
Student Engagement & Activities- (multiple positions) Student Activities Assistant will assist with office assistant responsibilities in addition to working with Student Engagement office to execute various programs and events offered to CAC and surrounding community, including but not limited to E-Sports.
Entertainment Industry Technology (EIT)- (one position) – EIT Studio Assistant Student, will assist with the general maintenance, upkeep, inventory, and overall operation of the EIT Recording Studio facilities.
San Tan Campus:

Responsibilities
Job Duties:
Assist with correcting, completing and preparing paperwork as assigned by the supervisor.
Able to perform basic office skills: typing, filing, cleaning, shredding, making flyers, answering phones.
Possess basic computer skills i.e., Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe and PowerPoint.
Possess the ability to assist and answer questions from customers and operate regular office equipment such as copy machines, postage machine, and printers.
Running variety of errands
Assist students in accessing their Student Portals, as needed.
Handle confidential information with tact, discretion and in compliance with FERPA regulations.
Assist with special projects and other duties as needed.
Provide assistance to the instructors and part-time staff, as needed.
Additional job duties and responsibilities may vary based on your department.
Qualifications
Student Employment Qualifications:
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA.
Must be enrolled in no less than six (6) credits at CAC. A student can work up to 19 hours per week if enrolled in 12 or more credits, 15 hours per week if enrolled for 9 – 11 credits and 10 hours per week if enrolled in 6 – 8 credits. Students can work no more than 19 hours per week while classes are in session.
Must obtain at least a 2.0 GPA
Must pass a background verification of employment
