Job Description : The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for a master multitasker with excellent communication skills, an upbeat attitude, and can perform a variety of complex administrative tasks to support the Warden and staff. This position is responsible for complex requests which require research, analysis, and coordination.
Job Duties:
Types, copies, files, maintains, and distributes all inmate letter responses/correspondenceComposes correspondenceTracks and monitors all Emergency Escorted Leave requestsCompiles information regarding budgetary projections and purchases for the unitPrepares and submits purchase requests for the unit’s expenditures
Ensures unit compliance with procurement procedures and policiesMonitors unit, researches, and completes special projectsUpdates Department Policy manual
Answers, screens, and refers calls appropriately
Researches and prepares reports
Participates in staff meetings to maintain minutes
Serves on committees as assigned to assist in establishing long-range organizational goalsPerforms audit preparationsActs as time-keeper
Resolves all pay issues for unit staffDrives on State businessPerforms other duties appropriate to the assignment

Selective Preference(s):
Two (2) years’ experience in an administrative position
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Requires possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.

Retirement:
Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
