Position : Ware Handler
Job Description : The Ware Handler operates and troubleshoots finishing ware handling equipment, sets up equipment and performs minor maintenance of material handling equipment, maintain non-conformity counts, tracks position output to maintain schedule compliance, packs ware, prepares packing materials within clearly established directions and specifications.What you will do: Lift tables, destackers, bar code label printer & auxiliary equipment, stream feeder paper pack equipment, label dispensers, set up and operation of EOB stackers, P.E.Coater and equipment, Vac-Q-Veyor and associated auxiliaries to this equipment. Makes equipment adjustments, e.g. air regulators. Checks photo-eye operation. Cleans ware jam-ups. Logs equipment downtime and problems. Maintains S.O.S data on equipment and process. Responsible for first level troubleshooting of equipment and processes and notifies appropriate personnel of major mechanical troubles and operating issues.Must be able to handle up to 50 lbs. over 50% of shift or equivalent such as heavy boxes, pallets, and 75 lbs. under 5% of the shift.Discards obviously defective ware, inspects ware visually to verify process. Packs ware to specification, builds boxes and covers, positions pallets, checks ware tickets, records appropriate ware counts, operates hand trucks and power operated “Walkie-Stackers”. straps and bands pallets of ware, operates lift truck.Cleans ware handling equipment and maintains a clean, orderly work area.May be called upon to perform a function that results in the generation of hazardous waste, and therefore may be required to attend relevant RCRA training.Who we are looking for: High School diploma or GEDAt least one year of manufacturing experienceJob Type: Full-timePay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftWork Location: One location
