Minimum qualifications:
Master’s degree in Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Labor Economics, African American Studies, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience conducting research.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience building products for diverse audiences, such as conducting research with people from historically underrepresented communities and/or people with accessibility needs.
Experience with R, SPSS, STATA, or other statistical languages.
Experience developing and implementing hiring selection/assessment tools and conducting validation studies.

Our team is made up of researchers and analysts who conduct quantitative, qualitative, experimental, and archival research to inform people-related business decisions. In this role, you will lead research that drives equity and effectiveness within Google’s recruiting process. You will translate findings for stakeholders and audiences to inform business decisions in support of Google’s representation and racial equity goals.

Responsibilities
Use analytical reasoning to identify problems and develop hypotheses that can be tested.
Develop research studies and perform analyses to answer questions focused on hypothesis-driven questions that will inform changes to Google’s hiring process through an equity lens. Provide subject matter expert guidance on various issues to stakeholders and executives.
Build effective relationships and collaborate with teammates, business leaders, and HR clients to solve organizational problems. Communicate findings and recommendations to influence leaders to take action on the results.
Connect disparate ideas into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations, using creative, structured, and analytical thinking. Use data visualization to help communicate your ideas.
Advise on creation of hiring assessments to ensure they are valid, equitable, and yield positive experiences for all candidates.
