Job Description : Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets patients, in a professional and courteous manner via telephone. Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of the examination, and answering patient questions.
Reviews prescriptions, patient history, and prior exams for pertinent clinical information.
Takes and records in RIS a thorough and accurate patient medical history.
Schedule tests for procedures for patients based on the modality.
Insure that appropriate pre-certification and insurances authorizations are approved before exam is scheduled.
Familiar with each modality, contraindications of those modality, as well as how to book appointment.
Proper patient preparation and direction for exams.
Documentation of all contraindications and scheduling details in Fuji RIS.
Refers matters outside scope of own duties to appropriate others as necessary.
Other relevant duties are assigned.
Having knowledge of the training handbook and proficiency in all the aspects of the handbook as well as grids and other materials provided.
Ability to learn new material when given in a timely matter and effectively uses the material given.
