Transporter – Hospital Central Transport – Part Time

In this role you will maintain a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support while escorting patients to areas throughout the hospital conducting yourself in a courteous manner and responding to patients’ needs and inquiries politely and promptly. Spend quality time and build solid relationships with patients and their families. Go above and beyond for patients, deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.
This is a Part Time position at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital located at 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY. Shifts vary 24/7-includes weekdays, weekends and holidays. The position requires registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund.
Preferred Criteria
Customer service experience in a busy environment.
Experience in a hospital, healthcare or service industry.
Required Criteria
High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Requires heavy lifting, moving, and positioning.
Proficient in English -oral and written communications; planning and organization; teamwork.
Basic clerical skills for logging patient names/destinations; planning skills to best plan route for transporting patients from various locations
