Main purpose of job:
To carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), day to day maintenance(DDM) and refurbishment works. Responsible for testing and maintenance of the fire detection & alarm system, electrical distribution system, air purifier system and domestic appliances including other miscellaneous work requests and projects.
Roles and responsibilities:
To carry out statutory planned preventive maintenance(Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly) of domestic and office electrical equipment and supply system (assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures, using hand tool and power tools in accordance with UK electrical standards)and maintaining all technical records & files and complete the logbooks in English. (60%)
Inspection and testing of electrical system and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. To identify hazard defects using testing equipment like loop tester, PAT & Insulation tester etc, to ensure that they are in sound condition and are safe to use. (10%)
Should be able to diagnose any fault/malfunctioning in system, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem. (10%)
To carry out the routine preventive maintenance of air purifiers, fresh air units, white goods, filter cleaning of washing machine, tumble dryer and power distribution system including, stabilizer invertor, motor and starter panel, etc. (10%)
To work on minor/major electrical work projects, ensuring timely completion of the work as per the priority allocated and FCDO H&S norms. (10%)
To undertake additional duties as might reasonably be requested by the Line Manager or Head of Department. (5%)
The job holder will also be responsible for maintaining all technical records & files and complete the logbooks in English. (5%)

Level of language required: Good & Basic

Essential qualifications, skills and experience
Essential on arrival:
We are looking for a good skilled technician having ITI qualification in electrical trade with 2 years of experience.
Or
At least 5 years of experience in similar electrical works.

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
Desirable:Candidate with excellent problem solving ability, able to identify hazard defects, diagnose any fault/malfunctioning in system, apparatus and components. Knowledge of using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem.
Excellent physical condition and flexibility to carry out standby duties after office hours. The work is variable since time management and the ability to handle a complex workload are important.Able to work on ladders, scaffolders, and roof to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixture.The ability to communicate clearly and confidently with a range of people, both on the phone and face-to-face in Hindi and understand Basic English. Should have good interpersonal skills.
Quality maintenance to meet customer satisfaction. Ensure that any work is delivered and maintained within the agreed time frame (Service level agreement).
