Basic operator functions include safely operating equipment, monitoring and controlling production processes, loading/unloading products, collecting and testing lab samples, recording data, maintaining equipment in an indoor/outdoor production manufacturing setting, as well as packaging material/product. Operators are also responsible to follow applicable work processes, communicate effectively with team members, and complete the job specific training. Operators are responsible for awareness and execution of handling, storage, disposal, and movement of HAZMAT/RCRA materials and meeting all environmental compliance regulations. Successful candidates may be assigned to a position as a Chemical Operator, Production Operator or Color Matcher.A Chemical Operator is responsible for operating reaction, distillation, laboratory analysis, material loading and unloading, packaging.A Production Operator is responsible for operating blending, extrusion, packaging, material conveying systems.A Color Matcher is responsible for creating and adjusting formulas to produce color matches both visually and using software and instruments.These are rotating shift positions where employees move between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts at varying intervals.Requirements: High school diploma or GED; and 2 years consistent work history OR 2 year degree in an engineering/technical fieldBasic computer skillsGood interpersonal/communications/team skillsAbility to pass color vision test (only applicable to Color Matcher position)Work overtime as requiredPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of timeAbility to lift 55 lbs. on a routine basisAbility to reach overheadAbility to climb stairs and ladders and work at heightsAbility to work with hand tools and control equipmentAbility to discern chemical odorAbility to hear bells, alarms, and defects in equipmentAbility to read computer screens, gages, and metersAbility to communicate with others via two-way radio, telephone, email, and face to faceAbility to discern color coding on computer screensAbility to drive an industrial lift truckAbility to wear PPE such as a respirator, as neededEligibility Requirements:You must submit your application for employment online to be considered at: https://jobs.brassring.com/TGnewUI/Search/home/HomeWithPreLoad?PageType=JobDetails&partnerid=25094&siteid=5086&Areq=10055BRYou must be 18 years or olderYou must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection processYou must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection processYou must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United StatesDesired Skill: Manufacturing or related work experienceSAP experienceDisclaimers (USA): SABIC is not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms/employment agencies for this employment opportunity.
