Position : Non-Union Building Superintendent (Live-In)
Job Description : Currently accepting applications for a full time, non-union live-in building superintendent for a 55-unit building in Forest Hills, Queens.- Six story elevator building- One porter on staff- First floor, two bedroom apartment included with employment- Cell phone provided with employmentResponsibilities: Attend to resident issues as necessaryManagement and oversight of building employeeClean and maintain the common areas of building – inside and out (including rubbish, snow, leaves etc.)Ability to perform minor repairs: plumbing, heating, electrical, plastering, painting, etc.Report any issues, complaints, unsafe building conditions, potential threat or violations to management in a timely manner.Manage/separate garbage and recyclables.Ensure all building procedures are followed and report any issues or violations to the management office.Oversee and evaluate work performed by outside vendors/contractors.Oversee moves and deliveries.Maintain regular communication with management office.Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance – building mechanicals / service requests.Must be available for on-call emergencies during after-work hours and on weekends.Qualifications: Must be professional and be friendly to tenantsMust be proficient in speaking EnglishAbility to use a smart phone to send emails and pictures of complaints and/or apartment issues to management.
