Location: DocGo HQ, 35 West 35th Street, New York, NY 10001 (this is not a remote role)
Salary Range: $130,000-$155,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility
Employment Type: Full time

About the Job:
The Director of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for the overall management of billing and collection operations – including planning, directing, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating the day to day operations. The Director of Revenue Cycle Management will work on standardizing and centralizing billing functions to increase efficiency, and ensure Ambulnz maximizes revenue for all services provided.
Responsibilities:
Directly supervise the Billing team and provide oversight, leadership and guidance for Billing staff
Develops and Ensures that Billing/Collection Policies and Procedures are implemented
Provide orientation, training, and evaluation feedback to registration and billing department staff
Conduct monthly staff meetings to review progress on compliance measures, review any new policies and procedures, and to address other issues as appropriate
Resolve staffing issues and facilitate conflict resolution for staff under direct supervision
Hire, evaluate and terminate staff in coordination with the Human Resources department
Effectively lead and retain your staff by fostering a team environment and providing opportunities for staff to develop new skills
Works extremely well under pressure, meets multiple deadlines
Work with leadership to identify operations that need to be modified to enhance revenue
Develop, and analyze monthly Revenue Production Reports
Manage staff in the Billing department (including billing, follow-up, collections, customer service team members)
Perform all other related duties as as outlined by the Revenue Cycle Director, VP, &/or CFO
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience managing a billing department
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Advanced Degree such as an MBA preferred
Proficient in MS Office, including intermediate experience in excel
Knowledgeable on ICD-10 and CPT codes
Strong knowledge of various payers
Must be available after hours
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Time management skills as related to daily schedules and productivity
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of ambulance transport documentation
Ability to collect for healthcare claims from Medicare/Medicaid, commercial insurance, contracted facilities, and individuals
Understand Medicare and Medicaid regulations and guidelines
Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, Coding, Private Pay, and insurance preferred
Familiarity with medical terminology
Ability to interpret EOB (Explanation of Benefits)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Working knowledge of Zoll Data Systems
