Medical Assistant –Surgery
NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens is establishing a tradition of bringing hope, health and healing to our communities.
At NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens, Medical Assistants are invaluable care providers. Together, we serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Provide compassionate patient focused care and perform select care duties under the supervision of a MD, PA, or RN. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record height, weight and vital signs. Perform phlebotomy, collect and prepare specimens for the labs. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. So bring your smile to work. Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient’s day. Provide comfort and caring as a medical assistant at NYP Queens-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.
This is a full time day shift position. Bilingual candidates preferred.
Required Criteria
A High School diploma or GED is required.
Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program
Strong Phlebotomy skills
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of EMR
